GMBC Under 15 Eagles v Essendon

Prior to the season opener it was great to see both teams line up and pay their respects to the Anzacs.
Thanks Essendon for joining us.

The game was fought out in true Anzac spirit and in the end we went down fighting 5-4.
Bases were loaded in the bottom of the 5th, but unfortunately we were unable to score.
Great to see Claire get on base, not sure who was more excited Claire or her proud parents Julie and Shannon.

Our pitchers on the mound were John and Matt Stephens who both did a great job keeping a well drilled Essendon
to just 5 runs with the support of all fielders.

In the box we had our chances and fought hard.

Congraulations to our 1st gamers Claire, Jeremy and Griffin who all held their own.
