Further to today’s announcement we as a club would like to thank Slade & MWBL on their long and arduous commitment to try and get the season underway and together with the coaches , both junior and senior for their obvious enthusiasm and tireless time and effort to enable the players to commence training in preparation for the start of play . I would personally like to acknowledge the efforts of Ryan Jenkins , David Tierney,Andrew Kent ,Mathew Kent , Mark Ellis, Mitch Ellis , Jimmy Delaney and Marc Sandy (sorry if I’ve missed anyone) Also a big thanks to Ben Neave for his continued dedication to maintaining our ground in pristine condition. Also want to thank the committee for all your efforts I know this situation is not what we wanted but the lives , health and safety of the Monty family is the most important aspect of this whole situation and I for one am grateful that we won’t be putting anyone in harms way. And no doubt just like previous seasons we know Monty will bounce back bigger and better in 2021. If this sounds like a President’s speech at presentation night your right it is cause we ain’t having one this year. Cheers Colin.
