David Tierney announced as GMBC Club Coach 2019

GMBC is wrapped to announce the 2019 Winter season will lead by David Tierney.

David comes back to us full of enthusiasm and passion. His past experience playing at all levels of baseball in Australia, and being a student of the game, will help players of all levels improve and enjoy their time at Monty.

David experience has been paramount in the success of his teams in the past. He has been a crucial element in 8 premierships – 4 Division 1 premierships with Blackburn and 4 A Grade premierships with Monty. A Claxton Shield representative over 5 years (2004 – 2009), Best & Fairest winner 4 times (2 at Blackburn and 2 at Monty), and a Division 1 Baseball Victoria Hitting Award.

David’s passion for the game, and the club will be a valued asset at GMBC for the 2019 season. We look forward to seeing his influence around the club and are excited to welcome him during pre-season.

At this time, it is also important to thank Scott Dawes for the hard work he has put in over the past 3 years. Scott’s commitment to Monty, and his professionalism has exceptional. The players and officials appreciate all of the work that he has put in to the club during his stint as club coach.
